Members of ACDB are able to submit characters which are then reviewed by our moderators and added to the site. We maintain a leader board of the members with the most characters in the database as well as top contributors for each batch of 1000 characters.

Every character requires a series to be assigned to. Characters can be assigned to multiple titles. To avoid duplicates we index additional images as Alt Profiles.

Criteria for what characters are acceptable can be read here as well as on our wiki.

Once a character has been added to our database, we have a ton of features available.

Members can add characters to
- character lists
- family tree
- favorites
- groups

Members can vote on a character for
- character of the day
- character of the week
- character of the month
- Cosplay
- vote up
- vote down
- love
- hate

My Characters Notes can be used to write a private comment on a characters profile.

You'll also find a Report system where you can describe a problem for our moderators to look into.

Characters can be assigned relations to other characters.

We have a Six Word reviews which challenges people to find the best six words to describe the character.

A character's wealth is calculated by the jewel tributes made by members.

VS matches can be created in the form of a question and two character options. We've seen people create tournaments in this format as well.

Characters can be assigned a Personality, and characters can be tagged.

Extra Details allow for any number of additional traits to be assigned to a character. Such as Blood Type, Three Sizes, Birthday, Height, and Age in years.

All characters are indexed by visual traits including eye color, hair color, hair length, apparent gender, animal ears and apparent age.

Any number of names can be added to a character. We try to get the Japanese, Romaji, Hiragana, as well as any nick names and translations to other languages.

We maintain a hits counter, as in the number of visit to each character's profile. Since these things are easily manipulated, the counts are reset monthly.

We offer some fav trends tools to see which characters are rising in popularity with our members.

We have a Popularity Contest based on votes from a character's profile for various categories.

Some characters have quotes as well as voice samples directly from the episodes. And we do have member contributed quotes.

Characters can be assigned voice actors/actresses as well their role in a particular series. From extra to protagonist.

We do flag images that are NSFW. Members also have the option to rate characters from 1 to 10.

One last feature of note, Shipped Characters. Create your favorite couples and share them.
