Mitsugu Mouryou’s Anime Review
Code Geass: Nunnally in Wonderland is a rather bizarre, fast paced, format bending OVA that leaves one scratching their head wondering wth?! The plot is nothing more than Nunnally asking Lelouch to tell her a story, and he uses his Geass to make everyone become characters in his tale. He then begins narrating a fast-passed half-arsed version of Alice in Wonderland with Nunnally as the star. The music is just as good as the series. Voice acting no dubs so you’ll have to enjoy in its original glory. Character design: For a blend of stop motion narration only found only in VN, it wasn’t bad, but the casting choices were stu-***king pendous!!! So much insight is revealed about some of the characters from the franchise. Character development: Not much, Nunnally in Wonderland is a 28 min OVA. In conclusion this is a cutesy fun OVA, and makes a bit more sense if you’ve read Alice in Wonderland… with no real violence, foul language, or bloodshed, I rate it 2.8(out of 10) Recommended for viewing as cap to the series, but that is all.
