We're in the ancient ruins of some ancient undiscovered empire, but the only thing left is a temple, and a very large one.. It's night time, and there's a forest around our location.
Surigarasu perked her ears up. She had to be careful. Or maybe it was just a rabbit. Then she would probably chase it, being a wolf spirit. It was just instinct really: why would I want to chase and hunt them? Then again, they did have a habit of attacking my brother when he was alive... not anymore, now he was a necromancer, and had gotten to be human again. He had broken his curse, but now he had seemed to be something she didn't see human at all.

She jumped to a tree and hung from her tail. She waved with both hands. She always like her lovely monkey tail.

Surigarasu looked at her, with the eyes for which she got her name. So beautiful, looking like circles of frosted glass. "I suppose... alone it may be impossible..." she said. Then a person jumped out at her. She dodged quickly! "Kyari! Why are you here...! Ryomo, we have to go!" Surigarasu cried. The boy, bearing alot of resemblance to Surigarasu,did not stop. He, anyway, did not have animal ears. Only if you had a sixth sense, and an immense one at that, would be able to make out the blurry, ghostly, transparent image of animal ears.

Ryomo reacted slowly as her mind tried to process the situation. She hesitated before approaching Surigarasu to take their leave. She pulled herself together. She grabbed her trench knives and ran towards Surigarasu.

This one is still fine, I'd be more surprised about the other two, if I were you. But yeah, this trick is getting old - draw a female character, say "hey, you know what, that's a male" and here you've got a trap. They no longer bother with even making them look any remotely male.
