"Ok, Hotaru. Here's the plan." Ryomo said assuringly as she petted Hotaru's head. "We take you in there. The doc gives you some tests and stuff then she'll give you some medicine. Then because you're small, she'll offer you some candy. You MUST get the candy, a lot preferably. Then we'll take you somewhere to rest. And after all that we'll beat up some bad guys."
Ryomo nodded her head in pride. 'That was probably the greatest plan ever.' she thought.

Onoki had to grin at Ryomo's enthusiasm for anything candy. He whistled to his walking bag which scuttled to catch up and he pulled out another chocolate.

"Here, catch!" he said as he made to throw it to her.

He didn't realise how sick Hotaru was at the start. Maybe he should have picked an easier quest? He was starting to feel bad for making her travel so far.

"You guys go on ahead..." he paused, noticing a few women looking at him and whispering. "I just remembered... That... Oh! I need more food!"

He turned away from the townsfolk, slightly paranoid about them now. Dang, he was hoping not to get too close to town. Too late now

Ryomo latched on to Onoki's shirt.
"I dont think you should go alone. I mean, what if the bad guys are expecting us to be here. Hotaru being sick would throw them off, but going by yourself is just asking for trouble."

She turned towards Ryuu.
"You take care of her, or I'll make you and that doctor regret it." she growled.

She new Ryuu would take care of Taru, but she needed herself to be clear. She refused to be taken by surprise from anyone and she would do anything in her power to prevent it. She turned back to Onoki.
"Either you stay, or I go with you." she said firmly.

Onoki leaned a little closer to Ryomo, hunching his shoulders to hide from view.

"... You got a good point there." he said softly, dragging her after Ryuu and Hotaru. "Gimmie a minute, I gotta change how I look... people kinda know me here..."

He rummaged around in his bag for a moment then pulled out a pair of thick glasses which changed his eyes to a dull brown when he put them on. He also pulled his hair out of it's tie and left it out loose. That should be good enough for now...

Hotaru nodded. They walked in. The doctor, or more presumably the only doctor, walked up. "Yes?" she asked.

"My friend Hotaru, isnt feeling so well, we took a train here, and she got pale on the way. We dont think it's motion sickness anymore. Is there anything you can do to help?" Ryomo asked the doctor.

Onoki hung in the background, not too far but not too close either. He was feeling much less paranoid now that he was indoors. He opened his bag on took out a muesli bar to munch on. He briefly thought that perhaps it would be better if he didn't use so much magic on trivial things but hey, he was lazy and his bag was heavy. The thing could walk for itself for all he cared.

As long as he had his stash of munchies, nothing could possibly go wrong! He pushed up the glasses and waited for the doctor to examine Hotaru. The poor girl was looking worse by the second.

Ryomo noticed Onoki's behavior.
'What in the world could he be so worried about...or ashamed of, for that matter. Pretty shady.' she thought.
And then it hit her.
She made her way over to him, at a quick pace.
"So," she whispered to him, "you either managed to get 25% of the married women in town pregnant and you're hiding in fear for you're life from the their husbands. Or you killed someone. If you confess your crimes now, I won't use force when I bring you in." she whispered as she tried to prevent smiling and laughing.

She examined Hotaru and gave her a clear glass bottle of clear liquid. "All I can really do. Just make sure she takes her medicine." she said. "And here." she added, giving Hotaru and her friends candy, or some sort of sweets.

"It makes you a little drowsy though, Hotaru, so take it when you don't need to do anything. And bye Ryuu, Ryomo, and Erukka. I mean Hotaru. Your sister did look so much like you..." she said, retreating to the back of the office. Hotaru choked back a sob. Her sister had died. The sob-choking was the only hint of emotion.

Ryomo walked away from Onoki and approached Hotaru. "Let's go somewhere and relax a bit. That way your medicine will have chance to work without interfering with rigorous crime-fighting." she said as she petted Hotaru and began to head towards the exit.
