I'm looking for a specific 1990s anime about a magical cat! his name should be Mato or Moto meow!?

I once watched the anime when I was a child, it was in 1990s. The anime is about a yellow magical cat who can used his magical power thrice (as far as I remember) per day to help his master (his master is a girl, I suppose). I like this anime so much but I didnt remember its name. The anime was translated and shown in my country so there could be a slight alteration in its original context, but I suppose his name should be "mato meow" or "moto meow". I tried to search online but to no avail. I hope you can help me with helpful info. Thanks in advance
