Anyone have leap second weirdness to share?


In my case, since midnight I'd noticed Firefox mysteriously using 100% CPU.

Verified on both my computers, across Firefox versions.

Running an strace didn't give me any useful info ...

Even blocking network access made no difference.

I tried other browsers. Some also used 100% CPU ( galeon, chromium ) and others did not ( surf, epiphany ).



Then I start reading over recent Slashdot news articles ... and catch a glimpse of a torrentfreak story about Leap Second glitches ... suddenly it all makes sense.

After updating my system and rebooting, the problem has gone away. ^_^
