Malachi watched in confusion as the woman broke her ankle and then proceeded to heal herself. Her and her dead friend both seemed rather unstable and he didn't like it. She started to harp on about her magnificent power and almost laughed at that. The amount of magus he had been trained under who had said the same thing...
"Old hag? Why you little wench!" he heard his mother growl, noticing her hand settle to the middle part of the bell buckle.
"I'll have you know I graduated with honours from my school! Why would I need help from an incompetent necromancer like you?"
Malachi noticed his mother nod in his direction and he quickened his pace, working his way through the glyphs with a steady hand. When he completed the final one he looked to his mother and waited.
With a flourish of her shawl Yuropa grabbed two bells and rang them while at the same time Malachi activated his spells. The glyphs flared into life and shone with a brilliant golden light. Malachi could feel another portal to the underworld open and jumped in after his mother who had already disappeared with Jian.
